Jerome put up a sign
At the corner of Alma and 41st
Advertising his business,
And rented a suite
At Dr. Tom's house,
Who was head of the
Spanish Department.
Jerome dodged motorbikes
On the sidewalk in his early days,
And had scraps to eat.
Now he lived with nice people
And dined on food he liked.
It had all worked out.
But just one thing -
Where was he going to go
After he died?
