When I was small and lived at home
With Mama and Papa in Keston
My duty every single day
Was just to clean the shoes.
For forty days or so I cleaned
The shoes and put on polish.
And so I gained a fondness for shoes
And all the things they do.
When I grew up I took to tap
And danced the flamenco.
I danced jazz dance and modern too
And really had a ball.
