Family Home Evening At The Okanos

Tonight we had Family Home Evening with the boys and me.  Somerset welcomed us.  We had a song and a prayer.  We recounted a scripture story about Joseph of Egypt and Potiphar's wife and discussed what you learn from being a parent.
Next we had an MTC activity (MTC= Missionary Training Centre) where we arrived at the MTC and learned seven Dutch words: mes=knife, vork=fork, lepel=spoon, plaat=plate, glas=glass, tafel=table, and stoel=chair from a placard on the wall.
We in imagination arrived at the Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands and the boys were tested on these words. We had fun.  We closed with a prayer and I made Pumpkin Spice Bread for a treat.  This was a hit with the boys.  Paul and Somerset ate multiple slices. We played Big Band music and closed the evening.
